Age 80
Randall Crosby
Titusville, Florida
Age 48
Richard Cozart of Panama City turned 80 on October 9th. This octogenarian has logged
over 80,000 miles of running in his career. Richard is shown here when he volunteered at
the Torreya State Park's Draggin' Tail 25K/50K Ultra Trail Challenge. He is a member of the
Draggin' Tail Runners Club. Richard has some national records in the past for his ultra
running. 12 hour, 24 hour, 6 day runs, 10 day runs, etc. Simply amazing! What an
inspiration for all of us. Hopefully, we will all be running at 80 also!
Florida East Coast Runners features runners we find exceptional. They include older runners setting records, blind runners who just won't give
up. It could include someone you know if you just tell us about them. Send info to runs2fast@fleastcoastrunners.com
Want to see your runner featured? Tell us about them and we would love to feature them on our main page as well as adding them here.

Randall Crosby of Titusville shows the positive attitude we all need to find. Randall was
sighted until a gradual loss of vision due to Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) ending in total
blindness by the age of 27 (now 48). Randall says he likes to focus on what he can do
and not on what he can’t do; after all we all have limitations. He recently completed his
first full marathon at Disney in January and is training for a half iron man triathlon. You
think you have challenges trying to train? How about having to find a sighted friend to
run with for every training run. Randall's story and life are inspirational. To read more, go
